CGE Generación acquires Lican and Iberdola (Chile) for US$ 300M

CGE Generacion SA acquires Empresa Electrica Lican from Iberdrola SA (pending)
CGE Generacion SA (CGE), a unit of Cia General de Electricidad SA {CGE}, agreed to acquire a 55% interest in Empresa Electrica Lican, a Santiago-based electric utility, from Iberdola SA (Iberdola). Concurrently, CGE agreed to acquire a 94.74% interest in Iberoamericana de Energia IBENER SA (Iberoamericana). The two transactions were to have a combined value of CLP 158.019 bil (USD 297.55 mil).
